Dr. Jameel Moksa Battle

Dr. Jameel Moksa Battle is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Jameel is a licensed Physical Therapist and a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. Dr. Jameel is the ONLY doctorate-level physical therapy provider who combines modern physical therapy and sports medicine practices with the time-honored traditions of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. This rare combination is the first of its kind. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont and his Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Jameel brings a combined eight years of professional clinical experience and a uniquely integrative approach to his treatments, specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Jameel holds a certification in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® (SMAC) with special interests in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (OMPT), and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Jameel has experience providing physical therapy services to a wide range of Orthopedic & Return-to-Work injuries with varying levels of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. Dr. Jameel uses an evidence-based approach to clinical reasoning, screening, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and procedural interventions to develop rehabilitative programs to improve patient outcomes.

In the summer of 2017, Dr. Jameel completed a sports medicine residency with the Arizona Diamondback organization at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona. While there Dr. Jameel participated in daily rehab treatments programs for both major league (MLB) and minor league (MiLB) players, created rehabilitation plans and progressions for injured MiLB players to increase their range of motion, strength, balance, proprioception, stabilization, and functionality for an expedient return to play.

Dr. Jameel is an associate member of the International Acupuncture Association of Physical Therapists (IAAPT), a subgroup of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT). In addition, Dr. Jameel is recognized by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Currently, Dr. Jameel is completing his Masters in Athletic training at Life University. His goal is to transform and to revolutionize physical rehabilitation and athletic performance by synthesizing Eastern and Western medical modalities into an efficacious, evidence-based, integrative method. In his free time, Dr. Jameel enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his three nephews.
